Commit to Get Fit #1

Hello Lovelies,

So if you are a watcher of my YouTube you might have seen that I have decided to take part with something called Commit to Get Fit. I gave an explanation about what commit to get fit is in the video, which I'll stick below but I thought I'd use this blog to keep you up to date with my weight loss goal.

My plan is to post the weekly video on this blog on a Thursday so that if you don't have a YouTube account you can join the discussion via this blog.. What do you think?

Where I want to go this year?

Hello lovelies,

Amongst the many New Years resolutions, I said that over this year I would like to do a bit of travelling. I am a big lover of the UK, most of my holidays are taken on mainland UK.

Although that is the case there are still some places I've never properly visited or haven't visited at all and I'd like to visit this year. Some of the places on this list, I’m hoping, I might get to visit through meet ups but if not maybe I can get a cheap train ticket and bring a friend along. So with out further a do, here is my list.

  1. Cardiff – In my lifetime, I’ve only ever made one trip to Cardiff and that was because the football team that my family supports, Wolverhampton Wanderers, had made it to the Millennium Stadium for something. This was many years ago and I don’t remember anything about the city. I visit London a few times every year and I feel I should see other major cities.
  2. Edinburgh – Same as Cardiff, I’ve only ever visited once a VERY long time ago. From what I remember, it was a gorgeous place to visit and one I’d really like to see again.
  3. Bicester Village – now I know this one isn’t a city/town, I’m well aware that it is a Shopping Village but what can I say.. I’m a girl who loves a bargain.
  4. Dublin – I have visited the Republic of Ireland a few times but one place I’ve never properly seen is Dublin. I’d love to make a trip, look around the city, absorb the culture and enjoy the accent.
  5. York - I have big love for York. I have been a few times in my life for different reasons. I just love the place and I'd love to visit it again, maybe even climb to the top of the minster.
  6. Liverpool - I've been there once before and I don't remember much. This is a reason to go again
  7. Paris - Its not in the UK but I haven't been since I was about 10 with school. I'm now 23... I think it's time I returned to the French capital.

There are more places I want to see this year but here is just a handful. Is there anywhere you want to go this year? Let me know in the comments.

Whose with me?

Hello there lovelies,

I know long time no see, I have missed you all on this blog but with work,Christmas and the new lipstick blog's daily challenge I just have found it difficult to finish a post on this blog, I have got a couple nearly ready so you can look forward to those.

Anyway this post is not about my time away from this blog but instead it's about something completely different. Every year, I write out or think of New Years Resolutions, things that I am going to try and do in the year ahead and at the top of each years list is always the same resolution and that is to lose weight.

For those of you who don't know, I'm not the skinniest of girls. I never really have been and it was something that really got me down during my teenage years but as I have grown up I have just become more accepting of the fact I'm the size that I am. I am a UK size 16/18/20 depending on fit and shop and I have got used to that.

Although I have become accepting of my size, I still would really like to change it and this is where all the rambling in this post stops and I explain my plans and ask for your help and assistance.

This year I am going to do it... I'm going to attempt to lose weight and this is where you all come in. I am writing this post to ask who wants to join me in the battle to fight the fat and lose a little weight. There is a part of me who thinks that it will be easier to do if we all have a support system around us, a bit like a free WW meeting.

I also wondering whether you would like to be kept up to date with my battle against the bulge? Maybe share recipes? I don't know whether it is something people would be interested in?

Please let me know in the comments below.

Lots of Love,
