The Lost and Found, Birmingham

Hello Lovelies,

Recently I made the trip into Birmingham to meet up with a fellow blogger, Helen from Beautifully Superfluous. We had decided to go on a little blogger date and go for a wander around the shops and then for a meal.

When it came down to where we ate, I decided to take charge and book a table at a place that I had only visited once before, which was for their opening, and it was somewhere I have always wanted to return to. That place was The Lost and Found.

The Lost and Found can be found on Bennetts Hill and is the best little hidden away place that I have found in Birmingham. The interior of the building is pretty much ideal for me as it is a little quirky, a little vintage inspired and just really impressive. If you want to look at elements of the interior, I did take pictures when I went to the opening (LINK)

As I said before I hadn't been back since the opening, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the full dining experience. I have to say that I really enjoyed the experience. We were put at a table which had the most comfortable chairs and there was a little candle burning on our table. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and drink were great.

To start off with me and Helen had a cocktail each, we both picked the same one and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called but it was very nice.

After much deliberation, we also decided to have the same main course too, which was the Burger and Chips. I tend to not eat a beef burger when I'm eating out as I can be a little fussy about what is in them, however there was something about this burger that meant that I had to try it and I'm so happy that I did. The Burger was so tasty and the chips were some of the best I have tried. I didn't need any seasoning or sauces because the chips were already seasoned and the burger had a tomato relish on it which meant there was no need for ketchup.

The thing that I really enjoyed about the eating experience was the way that everything was displayed, our burgers came out on big trays as you can see above in the picture and it was just something different to going to a chain restaurant.

Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience at The Lost and Found and would definitely suggest you pop in there if you are in Birmingham.
Lots of Love,
C
